Abstract

The objectives achieved in this study were to determine: (1) the level of verbal bullying behavior of high-grade children at SD Negeri 2 Sikayu, (2) the level of self-confidence of high-grade children at SD Negeri 2 Sikayu, and (3) the effect of verbal bullying on feelings. self-confident high graders at SD Negeri 2 Sikayu. This research is a type of quantitative research, using a simple linear regression method. The population is high class children with a sample of 47 children, taken using stratified random sampling technique. The results of this study have a big influence on verbal bullying with self-confidence. Bullying verbal behavior in the medium category was 51.06%, in the moderate category, the self-confidence was 55.32%. And the results of the calculation of the regression equation of the verbal bullying variable and self-confidence are Y = 14.02 + 0.96X. the result of the regression coefficient of the verbal bullying variable and self-confidence is 0.96 which indicates that if the verbal bullying behavior increases by one, then the average child's self-confidence will increase by 0.96. And the correlation result is rcount (0.719)> rtabel (0.288), which means that there is a relationship between verbal bullying and self-confidence. Terms of acceptance of the hypothesis that tcount> ttable. The results obtained tcount (6.93)> ttable (2.021) means that there is an influence between the two variables, with a determination coefficient of 51.62%, which means that there is a large influence of Bariabel X on Y or there is a large effect of verbal bullying on children's self-confidence. Thus it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted.
