Abstract

Adversity Quotient is an ability to express how far someone faces obstacles or difficulties they face. This research was conducted aiming to: (1) Analys the difficulties experienced by climbers type students in solving logic and mathematical sets problems, (2) Analys the difficulties experienced by campers type students in solving logic and mathematical sets problems, and (3) Analys the difficulties experienced by climbers type students in solving logic and mathematical sets problems. This research is qualitative research with descriptive method. The subjects of thiis study were students of Mathematics Education n class E semester I of Muhammadiyah University, Surakarta. The research data were obtained using a written test and an Adversity Quotient questionnaire. Data were analyzed based on the difficulty of each type of student AQ, the results obtained: (1) Camper type subjects had no difficulty in transforming questions and solving problems, but subjects had difficulty understanding questions, (2) Climber type subjects had no difficulty in understanding questions and transform the problem, but the subject has difficulty solving the problem.
