Abstract

Land use change is an increase in land use from one side of use to another followed by a decrease in land use type from one time to the next, or the function of a land function at a different time period. Matesih Subdistrict is an area that experienced a change in land use from agricultural land to non-defense due to the influence of the development of the region from increasing population. The purpose of this study was to determine the spatial pattern of land use change in Matesih Subdistrict, and analyze the factors that influence land use change in Matesih Subdistrict. Research using qualitative descriptive methods, data analysis methods using map analysis that has been overlapped. Changes in land use from 2013 to 2018, the changes are dominated by changes in land use and dry fields into residential land use with an area of 1.722.829 m2. The biggest land change from 2013 to 2018 was found in Girilayu Village, namely from fields to rice fields, which increased by 245,187 m2. The lowest land change is in Karangbangun Village, from Tegalan to Settlement, which is 19 m2 reduced. The pattern of distribution of changes in settlement land, paddy fields, uplands from 2013 to 2018 are clustered
