Abstract

Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY) is a city known for its nickname as a city of students or education city strengthened in the Special district regulation of Yogyakarta number 6 Year 2003: About the strategic plan of DIY area 2004 – 2008. The vision and mission of the city of Yogyakarta implied the realization of regional development as a vehicle to the DIY condition in 2020 as the center of Education, Cultural center and the leading tourism destination, in addition to the vision and mission of The governor of DIY is conducting an education for children with special Needs (ABK). Inclusion education is one form of non-discriminatory education service system that will be applied in regular, both at ELEMENTARY, JUNIOR, high School and others. Religious-based schools are one of the alternative to educate non ABK students and ABK live independently and socialize according to their age. The purpose of this planning is to produce a container that can accommodate the education needs of non-ABK children and children with special needs (ABK) who prioritize security, comfort accessibility for users, in addition to those who are non ABK and ABK get a religious education early on as a guideline. Methods used are qualitative methods with the data collection techniques used are interviews, observations and literature studies. The results showed that: Facilities and means and lack of Islamic education to serve special needs children (ABK) still lacking, there is no special room, supporting tools and books supporting children with special needs (AKB) is not complete. With the facilities, means, and education of Islamic religion and several supporting tools and books for children with special needs can support or maximize children with special needs to learn and understand Islamic religious education.
