Abstract

Hydroverticulture methods and the wick system are alternatives used in hydroponics. The use of POC as a substitute for chemical inorganic nutrients due to the content of N, P, and K. The aim of this study was to determine the growth of pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) plants by hydroverticulture and wick system using POC. This study uses the method used in this study a completely randomized design (CRD) factorial pattern with two factors and the data analysis used is Two Way Anova. The first factor is the use of the hydroponic (M) method in the form of hydroverticulture (M1) and the wick system (M2). The second factor is the type of poc used (P). P1 = POC Paitan, P2 = POC Lamtoro, and P3 = POC Moringa. The best results of research on plant growth were M2P2 treatment using the wick system method and nutrition in the form of POC Lamtoro on plant height, namely 3 cm, number of leaves, 3 strands, and root length of 3.83 cm. The results of the Two Way Anova test using the hydroponic method showed no effect on the growth of pakcoy plants and the use of POC had an effect on plant growth. It can be concluded that the growth of pakcoy plants using the wick system is better and the use of POC Lamtoro affects the growth of pakcoy plants.
