Abstract

Name = Jovanka Alexandra Study Program = Development Economis Title = Analysis of Geographic Information Systems of Poverty Polarization in Central Java Province and the Determinants This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of poverty in each district/city in Central Java Province and the factors that influence it in 2017. This study also explains the characteristics of poverty based on the typology of each region. This research is a quantitative research with a descriptive design. Ordinary least square regression analysis of cross-section data was used as a research analysis tool. The results showed that the school participation rate and the number of health facilities had a significant positive effect on the number of poor people in each district/city. While the GRDP and IPD have no effect on the number of poor people. The results of the Geographic Information System analysis show that the number of poor people is concentrated in the western part of Central Java Province, especially in the coastal areas and bordering the area of West Jawa.
