Abstract

Pedagogical competence is the ability of teachers to manage students' learning. Islamic religious teachers' competencies, especially in pedagogical competencies, are still relatively low, there are still many who have not yet developed curriculum in planning learning and are lacking in the use of varied learning methods. The objectives of this study are: 1) knowing the pedagogical competence of Islamic religious education teachers in the planning, implementation and evaluation of learning. 2) find out the supporting and inhibiting factors in the pedagogical competence of Islamic religious education teachers in learning activities. This research is a field research that is collecting data and information from facts that occur. Data in this study were collected from interviews, observations and documentation. Results of Pedagogical Competence of Islamic Religious Education Teachers in Boyolali District High School in 2019/2020 in the planning, implementation and evaluation of learning activities have been carried out according to the Minister of National Education Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 41 of 2009 concerning Process Standards. In compiling the learning plan it only needs to be improved in writing the material with principles, facts, concepts and procedures, in the implementation need to be improved in conveying the learning objectives, conducting follow-up activities by assigning tasks to the next meeting, and providing motivation and appreciation at the end of learning. Supporting factors of pedagogical competence of Islamic religious education teachers in learning activities in Boyolali District High School 2019/2020 include the attention of the principal in developing teacher competencies, equipment and infrastructure, and student enthusiasm. While the inhibiting factors such competencies are weak in technological progress and weak in classroom management that is hindered by incompatible with the plan.
