Abstract

Rapid technological advances, especially in the field of electronics, can be utilized to the maximum so that human work becomes easier and more time efficient. One of them is iot-based automatic mouse traps to reduce the population of mice in the house. Many homeowners use conventional mouse traps. The shortage of traps still has to be checked manually, such as checking traps that must be done periodically and there are no applications that can display information from the mousetraps that are installed. Based on these problems the researchers tried to find solutions to these problems by modifying conventional mouse traps with trap door controllers and relay controllers to electrocute rats and load cells to determine the weight of incoming objects and monitor conditions in mouse traps remotely using telegram applications. The workings of the trap made are the nodeMCU microcontroller as a regulator of the door latch with a servo motor with the input of an ultrasonic sensor. The relay on the trap is used to electrocute the rat by giving commands from the telegram application. In the load cell it can be seen the weight of the trapped object as additional information for the user. The way to monitor it is nodeMCU will send mouse trap data through a telegram application. From the tests carried out mouse traps can facilitate the user because it can save time and energy and users no longer need to check traps one by one to the location. Traps can be monitored remotely as long as the trap is connected to wifi.
