Abstract

The Ngawi-Solo toll road, which has been operating since 2018, is located in Widodaren Village, which has a major impact on social and economic conditions in the community. The construction of a 2.9km long toll road in Widodaren Village uses an area of 13,861ha consisting of 132 residential and non-residential land. The change in land use has resulted in people whose houses have been evicted to change their residence and build a new life. This allows a change in the socio-economic characteristics of the population as well as the socio-economic impacts before and after toll road construction. The objectives of this research are: (1) Knowing the socio-economic characteristics of the evicted population before and after the construction of the Ngawi-Solo toll road in Widodaren Village (2) Knowing the impact of the construction of the Solo-Ngawi toll road on the socio-economic conditions of the evicted population in Widodaren Village, Widodaren District , Ngawi Regency. Sampling was taken using purposive sampling method by determining specific characteristics, namely people who have experienced the eviction of their homes so they have to move. Collecting data by observation and questionnaires. The data that has been obtained will be analyzed using descriptive statistical methods and spatial interaction analysis. Results of the study (1) The general characteristics in this study were the majority of informants were male and the ages ranged from 56-60 years. Most of the informants' final education level is senior high school (SMA). On average, the informants have a family of 4 dependents. (2) The construction of toll roads has an impact on the socio-economic conditions of the population. Social impacts, such as changes in social relationships in society that become tenuous and changes in the location of the organization. The displacement of the evicted population was carried out independently, they moved spread out but were still in the same village, the nature of the informant's house building experienced a change where previously only 62% had non-permanent buildings, but after the toll road there was a change to 91% having permanent buildings. The economic impact, which occurs on the average income of informants in this study, has increased by 28% from the previous Rp. 2,023,780, - to Rp. 2,583,537, - The money for profit received by informants affects the ownership of wealth which changes for the better to build a better house, open a new business, educate children and others, according to Wijianto's theory, it can be concluded that the informants are able to meet primary needs, secondary and tertiary. Informant expenditures have increased by 26% from the previous Rp. 1,543,902, - to Rp. 1,941,463, -. The types of work of the informants varied greatly from bonded work and independent work and no new types of work were found, there were 78% of informants whose types of work had not changed and 21% of informants stated that their jobs had changed.
