Abstract

The comics that are scattered in bookstores are always synonymous with children as consumers. Comics are dominated by pictures that seem to speak and these images form a comic narrative story. Whether we realize it or not, comics can have an influence on psychological behavior on readers, especially children. In addition, there are many comics that contain inappropriate pictures and distorted stories that are not suitable for consumption by children. The purpose of this study was to determine the legal protection for child consumers when consuming comics. The research method uses legal research methods with a normative doctrinal approach. This type of research is descriptive. Sources and types of data are secondary data. Methods of data collection using the method of collecting literature study and observational study. The results showed that in the 7 (seven) comics examined by the author, there were several comics that still violate children's rights as regulated in Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Amendment to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection and also contradicts Law Number 3 of 2017 concerning Bookkeeping System.
