Abstract

Brake system is a sytem on heavy equipment that functions to slow down and stop the unit moving. Damage suffered by the brake system in the form of loss brakes. This analysis aims to determine the damage, analyze the damage and find out the repair steps. The inspection method is done by checking visually. Next do the disassembly and inspection of brake system components to determine the damage and the main causes of brake loss. The brake system inspection results in component failure which consists of O-ring brake piston and brake piston. The cause of damage to the brake system is because the o-rings of the worn piston and brake piston have rust on the surface, so the brake piston cannot work normally. The repair step is to replace the o-ring of the brake piston and brake piston which is damaged and cannot be repaired, therefore the o-ring of the piston and brake piston is replaced with a new one.
