Abstract

Inflation is an indicator of economic stability and economic issues that are always an important concern for developing countries, especially Indonesia. Then this study was conducted with the aim of finding out the factors that influenced inflation in Indonesia in 2015-2019 using the inflation rate as the dependent variable, while the independent variables consisted of interest rates, money supply and exchange rates. The data used in this study are monthly data from the period of January 2015 to December 2019 obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), and Bank Indonesia. Data analysis method used is regression analysis with Error Correction Model (ECM). Data analysis techniques used were classical assumption tests, model goodness tests and influence validation tests. Based on the estimation results show that in the short term only the BI Rate variable has an influence on Inflation, whereas in the long run the BI Rate and Exchange variable has a significant influence on Inflation. From the model licensing test (F test) the value of R-square is only 46.22% which can be explained by the variable BI Rate, Amount of Money Supply and Exchange Rates.
