Abstract

Hemodialysis is a therapy to replace kidney function, using a special tool to remove uremic toxic and regulate electrolyte fluid. This action is also an effort to improve the quality of life for people with chronic kidney failure. Hemodialysis patients face significant changes because they have to adapt to hemodialysis therapy, complications that occur, changes in role in the family, lifestyle changes, and the activities they have to do related to hemodialysis therapy. The purpose of this study was to determine religious actions on family members committed by hemodialysis at RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta. This research was conducted at Dr. Moewardi Surakarta in December 2019. This research is a type of quantitative research using descriptive research design. The population in this study was the whole family of patients who performed Hemodialysis at RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta. While the sample used for research were 50 samples. The data analysis technique used in this study is Univariate Analysis. The results of this study indicate that the amount of family religious support in patients undergoing hemodialysis at RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta with a high category of 20 respondents or 40% while family religious support for patients undergoing hemodialysis at RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta with a low category of 30 respondents or 60%. So it can be concluded that the majority of family religious support in patients undergoing hemodialysis at RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta is dominated by low family support.
