Abstract

YouTube is a social media which has a content of information and communication based on moving pictures or videos. From children to adults, they use YouTube to search for various types of video content they want, one of which is prank content. Prank content is a type of content that is entertaining, but not infrequently the substance of the content has a negative content. The ease of access to YouTube makes it difficult for children to choose prank content that is positive or negative. If the prank content that is served is inappropriate for them, of course it will be a problem that has a negative impact on children's development. Based on this, legal protection for child consumers needs special attention because the legal protection provided is still very minimal for children as consumers of prank video content on YouTube.
