Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between marketing through free shipping promotion on the convex behavior of female students at the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. Subjects in this study were active students of Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta who had an online shopping account and had done online shopping totaling 375 female students. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. Data collection tools used in this research are marketing scale through free shipping promotion and consumer behavior scale. Data analysis was performed by product moment correlation analysis using SPSS for windows. Based on data analysis between marketing variables through free shipping promotion and consumptive behavior, the coefficient (rxy) value is 0.406 and sig. (p) equal to 0,000 (p <0.1), which shows there is a very significant relationship between marketing through promotion of free shipping and consumptive behavior of female students. The correlation coefficient value is positive which means the more frequent marketing through promotion of free shipping, the consumptive behavior of Surakarta Muhammadiyah University students is increasing.
