Abstract

Preeclampsia and eclampsia are syndromes in pregnancy that are the cause of maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality so that appropriate therapy is needed. The high incidence of Drug Related Problems (DRPs) is related to the failure of therapy so that it encourages researchers to conduct this research. This study aims to determine the magnitude of the incidence of potential Drug Related Problems (DRPs) in the category of drug selection (drug selection is not based on guidelines, the drug is indicated but not prescribed) and the category of drug dose selection (too low dose, too high dose, frequency of drug administration is less, frequency of drug administration more). This study uses a non-experimental method using inpatient medical record data in RSUP Dr. Soeradji Tirtonegoro Klaten in 2018 who met the inclusion criteria by obtaining it retrospectively and analyzed descriptively. From the results of a study of 100 patients present 295 prescription drugs were analyzed in patients with preeclampsia and eclampsia who were approved inpatients at RSUP Dr. Soeradji Tirtonegoro Klaten in 2018 with 116 cases of DRPs. For the DRPs category of drugs not according to the guidelines in 4 cases (3.4%), drugs were indicated but not prescribed 35 cases (30.1%), 1 dose (0.9%) overdose was 38 cases (32%) , 8%), the frequency is more than 0 cases (0%), the frequency is less than 38 cases (32.8%).
