Abstract

Education is expected to result in a young generation that is intelligent and qualified. The one that can encourage the creation of achievement among students is the motivation to learn. Self-efficacy is the most effective predictor in to predicts the learning motivation of students. The aim of this research is to know the relationship between the self-efficacys and of the learning motivation of SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Sukoharjo, so the author submits the hypothesis "there is a positive relationship between self-efficacy and learning motivation". The subject in this study is the student of SMK Muhammadiyah 1 of Sukoharjo of XI grade, that is an amount of 100. Sampling technique that used was the sampling non-random clusters, and selected four classes. Measuring instrument which is used to reveal research variables there are 2 kinds of measuring instrument, namely: (1) the anxiety scale and (2) the learning motivation scale. Data analysis in this study uses the product moment correlation. Based on the results, so is obtained the correlation between anxiety with academic procrastination (r) is amount of 0.577 with p = 0.000 where p 0.01 <, this means there is a very significant positive relationship between self-efficacy with learning motivation. That’s means the higher self-efficacy then the higher the learning motivation of students, and conversely the lower self-efficacy, then the lower also learning motivation of students. The result of mean empirical compared with mean hypothetic indicates that the variable self-efficacy of the SMK Muhammadiyah 1 students of Sukoharjo of XI grade in generally is moderate category, subsequent the variable of learning motivation in medium category. The self-efficacy variable of the academic procrastination variable (SE) is amount of 33,3%, that’s means there are still 66,7% of other factors besides anxiety that affects the academic procrastination.
