Abstract
This research aims to: a) to find out the role and function of the attorney's intelligence in uncovering the existence of criminal acts of corruption; b) to find out the prosecutor's intelligence obstacles in revealing the existence of criminal acts of corruption. This type of research is descriptive with an empirical juridical approach. Types of data include primary data in the form of interviews and secondary data from literature studies. The results obtained are that the Prosecutors' Intelligence plays an important role in uncovering the occurrence of criminal acts of corruption. The success of disclosing the existence of a criminal act of corruption rests with the attorney's intelligence agents. In the disclosure process, intelligence agents carry out activities in the form of Target Analysis, Task Analysis and determining Operational Targets to collect data and gather information that will be used as evidence. After the data and information are obtained, the intelligence agent conducts an investigation or so-called Judicial Intelligence Operations to conduct a more detailed examination of the criminal act of corruption. The information obtained is processed, analyzed and contained in the intelligence operations report. Obstacles faced by the Gresik District Attorney's Intelligence Sector in uncovering the Corruption Crimes, include: a) The limited time given by the Laws and the prosecutor's regulations only gives 7 (seven) days and can only be extended 1 (one) time in conducting The Judicial Intelligence Task and Operations Warrants are only given 30 (thirty) days;b) In the Attorney General Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia there is no authority of the Intelligence Agent to make a forced effort, so intelligence agents in searching for data must make disguises, sneak or even steal the required data, it requires time related to the situation and conditions; c) The Intelligence Agent cannot guarantee that the results of the Judicial Intelligence Operations submitted to the Special Criminal Field go up to the Corruption Court, because the Intelligence Section is only authorized to conduct investigations and raise the case to the Special Criminal Field to carry out Investigations and Prosecutions.
