Abstract

This research was conducted in Bambang Sub Watershed, which is one part of the Bengawan Solo Watershed. This study aims to Analyze the distribution of flood hazard vulnerability levels and find out the appropriate flood disaster adaptation strategies in the Bambang Sub-watershed. The research method used was a survey that is a method of secondary data analysis and observation. Secondary data was obtained from Government Agencies in the form of rainfall data for 5 rain stations in a period of 10 years, land type maps, land use maps, and slope maps. Analysis of the data used is overlay analysis with GIS and spatial analysis. Overlay is done by inputting four thematic maps, namely: Slope Slope Map, Rainfall Map, Soil Infiltration Map, and Land Use Map. From the results of the study showed that the sub-watershed Bambang has 3 classes of flood vulnerability that is not prone, prone and very prone. The vulnerable class has an area of 14.63 km² with a percentage of 11% covering the upper part of Cepogo District and Selo District located in the upper part of the Bambang Sub Watershed which is the main catchment area and flow regulator. The vulnerable class has an area of 83.68 km² with a percentage of 60% covering part of the lower Cepogo District, Musuk District, Boyolali District, Mojosongo District, Tulung District, and part of Polokarto District is in the middle of Bambang Sub-watershed as a distributor and water regulator area. The very vulnerable class has an area of 41 km² with a percentage of 29% covering Sawit Subdistrict, part of Polokarto Subdistrict, Delanggu Subdistrict, Wonosari Subdistrict, Gatak Subdistrict, Baki Subdistrict, and Grogol Subdistrict located in the downstream part of the Bambang Watershed which is a water user and often occurs sedimentation which causes siltation of the river to flood the river overflow. The Bambang Sub-watershed area is dominated by vulnerable classes, with the widest area of 83.68 km² with a percentage of 60% of the total area of the entire Bambang Watershed area, which is 139,322 km², which is located on sloping terrain with an 8-15% slope width of 5675.94 ha with a percentage of 40 , 73% of the total Bambang Sub Watershed area which is spread in the upstream and middle sub-watersheds. The downstream part of the river with a high level of flood hazard is very vulnerable, using an adaptation strategy to raise the river embankment as an appropriate strategy, because it is more effective in preventing overflow of river water and excessive runoff from entering the agricultural land to residential areas. The middle part of the river with the level of flood hazard is prone to use river widening and dredging adaptation strategies as actions that can dampen water in case of flooding. The upstream part of the river with the level of vulnerability of flood disaster is not prone, using adaptation strategies to conduct greening and crop rotation as an environmental preventive measure.
