Abstract

The meaningfulness of life is an individual's appreciation of things that are important, valuable, felt truthful, and gives special value to the individual so that they are used as goals in life in each person in overcoming problems and each person has a different meaningfulness in life. This study aims to understand and describe the meaningfulness of life in TPQ counselors. The research subjects consisted of five people who were obtained by purposive sampling technique with the criteria of being TPQ supervisors for a minimum of 10 years and aged 30-60 years. Data collection uses semi-structured interview techniques. The results of the study show the meaningfulness of life in the TPQ supervisor can be seen from the sincerity in doing his service to religion by teaching TPQ. This makes the TPQ mentor have a person who always feels grateful, and believes God will give the best for TPQ counselors by bestowing good deeds and sustenance. So that the TPQ supervisor has the drive or motivation to continue teaching TPQ. Keyword : the meaningfulness of life, TPQ mentor
