Abstract

Significant developments in this globalization era are very visible in the transportation sector and ‎smartphone technology because these two sectors are urgently needed in the community with the use of ‎transportation in Indonesia. 133 million units are dominated by motorcycles, while the use of smartphones ‎with an accumulation of 100% is recorded at 66, 3% with 3-5 hours of usage duration so it cannot be denied ‎that the two sectors are the primary needs of the community. The rapid development of motorbikes in Indonesia ‎has caused air pollution by increasing the consumption of fuel used and the efficiency of the combustion. ‎Based on the combustion motor energy flow that about 100% combustion results, 25% is used as vehicle ‎operations, 30% as cooling, 40% come out along with exhaust gas (exhaust gas), and 5% is lost due to ‎friction. Based on the combustion energy on a motorcycle produces heat energy that is felt in the air exhaust ‎equipment ie exhaust with standard exhaust maximum temperature of 216.9 ºC while for racing exhaust the ‎maximum temperature of 315.96 ºC. The exhaust temperature of the motor can be utilized by using a peltier ‎sensor into electrical energy. In this study utilizing a peltier sensor with a source of heat in the exhaust motor ‎and ice cubes as cooling so as to produce electrical energy with temperature differences between the two sides ‎of the peltier with n and p type semiconductor construction materials that work on the seeback effect as a ‎temperature ratio, and in this study get the results of DC power voltage with a single piece of peltier sensor by ‎mounting on the motorcycle exhaust injection Revo FI 110 CC head and testing with the motor turned on and ‎given 4 conditions namely standby conditions, gear rotation 1000 RPM, 2000 RPM, and 3000 RPM produce ‎average peak voltage on the peltier of 3.5 volts and given a smartphone load resulting in an average peak ‎voltage of 3.66 volts and peak supply current at a load of 0.23 amp with a difference of peak temperature ‎without a load of 76.7 ºC and a voltage load and currents 75.8 ºC and 68.7 ºC respectively on the exhaust ‎head.‎ Keywords: Current, Motorcycle Muffler, Peltier Sensor, Temperature, Voltage
