Abstract

The focus of this research is to describe the application of knowledge management in the process of creating organizational knowledge (learning organization) and describe the application of knowledge management in delivering tacit knowledge to explicit knowledege in SD Muhammadiyah 1 Alternative Magelang City. The methodology used in this study is to use field research, with a qualitative approach. Data collection methods through interviews, documentation and observation. While the technique of analysis or interpretation of data, the authors use qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. In checking the validity of the data the researcher carries out three activities, namely: credibility, dependability and confirmability. The results of this study are the application of knowledge management in the process of creating organizational knowledge (learning organization) in SD Mutual Magelang City through the embodiment of knowledge conversion from the SECI model (Socialization, Externalization, Combination, & Internalization). (1) The process of socialization through sabtuan forums, discussions, holding seminars, and involving / delegating in training / training activities; culture of coaching and study bunding (2) the externalization process through the arrival of experts / leaders and documenting the results of routine studies, discussions and making proceedings of seminar results in the form of documentation, reports, minutes, etc .; (3) a combination process through a work culture that is classroom action research (CAR), research for mutualista magazines, children's novels and short stories, etc .; (4) the internalization process, the institution records and collects data documents, information and knowledge from each evaluation and report on education and education personnel, so that it can then be read by others. In this process it is expected that every individual in the Mutual Elementary School of Magelang City will experience an increase in human resource knowledge. In addition, it encourages publishing works and research into mutualista journals and the SD Mutual website (even if it is not yet optimal). Whereas the application of knowledge management in giving birth to tacit knowledge to explicit knowledege can be seen in the externalization and combination aspects through writing and research culture, mutualista magazine and the management of the SD Mutual website in Magelang City.
