Abstract

Coffee shop is a business that is growing rapidly in the current industrial era. The problem in the coffee shop business in this case is the occurrence of fraudulent competition in the form of violations of trade secrets in the form of leakage or theft of recipes and ingredients of coffee beans used. From this research, it was obtained that trade secret information in the Coffee Shop business in the form of coffee beans recipes and ingredients has been protected by law and should not be known by the public. Parties who have misused or leaked trade secret information may be subject to civil sanctions and criminal sanctions that have been regulated in Law No. 30 of 2000. Seeing that there are still many workers who leak trade secret information, it is necessary to have a written work agreement regarding the prohibition to abuse or divulge trade secrets so that they can be used as a tool to prosecute in case of breach of trade secrets.
