Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether the application of cooperative learning Teams Games Tournament (TGT) could improve economic learning outcomes in class XI IPS 1 students in Madrasah Aliyah Al Falah Baki Sukoharjo Teaching year 2019/2020. The research carried out is the classroom action research (CAR) method which was carried out during the second cycle, each cycle passed into a four stage of the research, namely: (1) Planning; (2) Implementation; (3) Observation; and (4) Evaluation and Reflections. In this study the research subjects were all students of class XI IPS 1 Madrasah Aliyah Al Falah Baki Sukoharjo Teaching Year 2019/2020. Class XI IPS 1 students containing 21 students with a composition of 15 female students and 6 male students. This research was conducted by collaborating with economics class XI teachers. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, documentation, and tests. The results of this study that the application of cooperative learning Teams Games Tournament (TGT) showed an increase in learning outcomes in economic subjects can be seen from students who scored more than the minimum completeness criteria (KKM). Can be proven before the action, the percentage of student learning outcomes is only (19.04%), after the first cycle of action the student learning outcomes are seen achieving results (38.09%), and after the cycle II action is taken (85.71%). Based on research, it can be concluded that the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model in economics can improve the learning outcomes of students of class XI IPS 1 in Madrasah Aliyah AL Falah Baki Sukoharjo Teaching Year 2019/2020.
