Abstract

The tourism objects in Wonogiri Regency are very varied, including natural tourism objects consisting of Goa Putri Kencono and Setren Girimanik tourism objects, artificial and educational tourism objects and family tourism consisting of Mungkur Elephant Reservoir and Karst Museum, and the last is religious tourism / pilgrimage that is the Khayangan tourist attraction. The problem that arises in each of the attractions is the equal distribution of facilities, some of which are still lacking both internally and externally. This study has the aim (1) to analyze the internal and external potentials that exist in each tourism object (2) to find out the development strategies in each tourism object to become a superior tourism object. The study was conducted by the method of field observation and deepened by interviews with managers of attractions. The analysis used is to use the scoring method to determine internal and external potentials then add them to find out the combined potential of tourism objects, and to find out the development strategy used a SWOT analysis. The results showed that the tourism objects with the highest combined value were found in three tourism objects, namely the Mungkur Elephant Reservoir, the Karst Museum, and Girimanik Setren while the low and low potential classes were in the Khayangan and Goa Putri kencono wizard objects.
