Abstract

Kelud volcano eruption which often leads to sub-district Blitar region including Nglegok have a high level of danger for several reasons. First, the type of eruption is explosive or highly damaging to the large amount of material in a single eruption eruption. Second, the distance between the alert status to the eruption lasts for a short time. Third, a lava plug causes bursts of hot water over risky claimed casualties. This study aims to assess the level of vulnerability to the eruption of Kelud volcano in the district that includes vulnerability Nglegok social, economic vulnerability, and physical vulnerability. This study also examines the level of vulnerability to the coverage in the district Nglegok KRB. Vulnerability analysis refers BNBP Chief Regulation No.2 of 2012 on General Guidelines for Disaster Risk Assessment. Vulnerability analysis conducted on three sub-analysis, the social vulnerabilities that include population density, the ratio of female population, poverty ratio, the ratio of people with disabilities, and the ratio of age groups. Physical vulnerability include the density of homes, public buildings and critical facilities. Economic vulnerability include the GDP and productive land area. Hazard analysis refers to the danger of PVMBG map, then overlay with vulnerability analysis resulted in disaster vulnerability map Kelud volcano to the KRB coverage. The findings indicate that whole villages and villages in the district Nglegok have a high degree of vulnerability to volcanic eruption of Kelud. Accumulated total value of vulnerability dioverlay with KRB showing villages and villages that are in the scope of disaster KRB has a higher risk than the villages and villages that are outside the scope of KRB.
