Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of goverment expenditure to income inequality with economic growth as an intervening variable. The population and sample of this study were 35 district and municipal governments in Central Java. from 2014 to 2016. The sample collection technique has been done by purposive sampling. The results show that goverment expenditure have influence to the economic growth, goverment expenditure have influence to the income inequality, while the economic growth does not have influence to the income inequality the allocation of capital expenditure. And the result of the analysis also showed that economic growth. Can’t be used as an intervening variable (mediation) the relationship between goverment expenditure and income inequality.
