Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the influence of the Population Number, GRDP of the Agriculture Sector, Road Length, and Number of Industrial Companies on the Rice Field Area in Sukoharjo Regency from 1999 to 2015. This study uses secondary time series data obtained from several institutions and Government agencies, among others are from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Sukoharjo Regency, or other websites and publications related to this research. Data availability from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in Sukoharjo Regency is only available for 17 years. Using multiple regression analysis tools with the Ordinary Least Square Estimation Model (OLS) approach. The results showed that the variable length of the road and the number of industrial companies had a positive and significant effect on land area. While the variable Number of Population and Agricultural Sector GRDP has a negative and significant effect on the area of paddy fields.
