Abstract

Background: Chronic kidney failure is a gradual and irreversible decline in kidney function, to a certain degree requiring replacement therapy to improve the quality of life of patients. This disease is characterized by the presence of uremia syndrome and a decrease in glomerular filtrate rate. One therapy to treat chronic kidney disease is hemodialysis therapy. This therapy aims to get rid of urea toxins in the body so that it can prolong the survival of patients and improve their quality of life. Inter Dyalytic Weight Gain or IDWG is weight gain between two times of dialysis. Increased IDWG will affect the risk of complications in patients with chronic kidney. One complication is an increase in blood pressure. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between IDWG and pre-hemodialysis blood pressure in RSUD Pandan Arang. Methode: The type of research used is descriptive correlative with cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used a purposive technique and obtained 51 respondents. This research was conducted in September-November 2018. The instrument of this research was sphygnomanometer and digital scales. The statistical test used was Rank Spearman with a confidence level of 95%. Result: Based on the data obtained results, namely there is a relationship between IDWG with pre hemodialysis blood pressure (p value = 0.001). Conclusion: there is a relationship between IDWG and pre hemodialysis blood pressure in RSUD Pandan Arang.
