Abstract
This study aims to describe the coaching, various kinds of constraints, and alternative solutions to overcome the constraints of coaching social care and leadership through scout extracurricular activities student MTs Negeri 1 Surakarta 2019/2020. This research uses qualitative approach, data collection with observation, interview, and documentation. Analysis tevhniques apply flow models trough data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. Data validity uses triangulation techniques or data collection methods and triangulation of data sources. The results of this study indicate that fostering social care attitudes and leadership through scout extracurricular activities for student MTs Negeri 1 Surakarta going well in accordance with indicators of social care and leadership attitudes affection, responsible, harmony of life, be fair, give suggestions, support the goal, catalyst, creates a sense of security, source of inspiration, appreciate. The fostering of social care and leadership attitudes is reflected in the implementation of scout extracurricular activities. The obstacles that occur are the scout participants are students in the class as a whole. The class VII is a student who has experienced a change in the environment, from elementary school to the next level, namely the madrasah tsanawiyah. Besides changing environment, new student come from various elementary schools, of course their backgrounds are different. The solution to overcome the existing obstacles is the coach approaches the students and provides training in accordance with indicators of social care and leadership attitudes.
