Abstract

Film is a form of electronic mass communication consisting of audio-visual media that is able to display words, sounds, images, and their combinations. Films shown on the big screen must be in accordance with Law No. 33 of 2009 concerning Film, Law No. 33 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection and Government Regulation No. 18 of 2014 concerning the Film Censorship Institution. Before showing on the big screen, a film must first pass the sensor in order to obtain film goals. Furthermore, legal permits for film viewers are discussed in Film Law No. 33 of 2009 concerning Film in the preamble considering the letter b which reads: "is a film as a mass communication media that contains the source of the intellectual life of the nation, the development of self potential, fostering noble morals, the transfer of community property, as well as a vehicle for the promotion of Indonesia in the international world, so film and Indonesian cinema needs to be developed and protected”.
