Abstract

The purpose of this research are: (1) To find out the reason of the communication skilss needed while doing KKN Dik. (2) To find out the associated to communication that are experienced by participant in Ngargorejo during the course of the KKN Dik program. (3) To find out the impressions of the students about the KKN Dik program. This kind of research is a qualitative descriptive with the communication ethnography approach. The object of this research is the students of FKIP UMS communication skills and the subject is participant of KKN Dik in Ngargorejo. This research shows that communication skills very useful in the process of adaptation to society, the approach process with society, to create good relationships with the society, organizing citizens to participate in the execution of the KKN Dik, and civilizing friendly manner. In the implementation of the KKN Dik program there are only a few problems about communication that is difficult to explain about the work program to be held at the location of KKN Dik, organizing passive citizens to participate in activities and sometimes misunderstandings between participants. However the students impressions about KKN Dik program was totally a fun program, can giving experience and insight into the society.
