Abstract

The utilization of metal is used for daily life can not be avoided anymore. One of the method for metal forming is metal spinning method. This method is a forming of metal sheet with high spinning speed. Mandrel and Roller usually are used for this method. Subject of the research is the application of nose radius roller R4, R5.5 R6.5 againts the surface roughness with metal spinning method. Product of the research is Aluminium bowl, after the product is finished and the surface roughness will be analyzed later with roughness test equipment and it is splitted into two for the thickness distribution measurement make micrometer. From the roughness of surface measurement was obtained average results for nose radius roller R4 was 0.734 m, nose radius roller R5.5 is 0.539 m and for nose roller R6.5 was 0.370 m. It can be concluded the highest surface roughness was the application of nose radius roller R4 and the lowest surface roughness was R6.5. The thickness distribution became more thin to the edge.
