Abstract

"Perceptions of Student Interest in Employment in Islamic Financial Institutions". The main problem of this research is the analysis of students' perceptions and interests towards employment in Islamic financial institutions. This type of research includes field research using descriptive qualitative methods, including research aimed at knowing and analyzing the interests and perceptions of students studying in the Department of Sharia Economic Law, Faculty of Islamic Studies, Muhammadiyah University, Surakarta. In this study, researchers directly examined and conducted interviews with students regarding their interests and perceptions of employment in Islamic financial institutions. Based on research and data analysis, it can be concluded that the perception of UMS students of the HES program on employment in Islamic financial institutions, namely Islamic financial institutions is employment which is based on Islamic law. However, not all students justify this, some say the Islamic financial system dilemabga is not entirely syariah. Another case with the interest of students in employment in Islamic financial institutions that are relatively different. This is due to several factors underlying it, such as economic factors and self-desires. Students' interests and interests are motivated by internal and external factors, including economic factors, prestige, educational background, prestige, their principles for working in an Islamic Sharia system.
