Abstract

The existence of Aedes sp larva is strongly influenced by environmental factors. Some environmental factors that can affect the female mosquitoes of Aedes sp in choosing to lay eggs such as temperature, pH, and salinity. The purpose of this research is to know the pH of water, temperature, salinity, and the breeding of mosquito Aedes sp in Kelurahan Kadipiro Kota Surakarta. This method of study used the observation method by observing all of the water shelter (TPA) that positively found the larva Aedes sp in Kelurahan Kadipiro. From 40 water shelter positive the mosquito larva Aedes sp 85% water shelter is inside the house and 15% water shelter is outside the house positive larva Aedes sp mosquito. Type of water shelter is the most dominant larva Aedes sp mosquitoes that are in the home like a bathtub (45%) and buckets (30%), such as the water shelter outside the house is a barrel (7.5%).When the container is outside the house is a barrel (7.5%) container. A description of the pH, temperature and salinity of the most widely encountered mosquito larva Aedes sp at the place of the temperature is at a water 29,2 - 30.4 ° C, pH 7.02 - 8.31, salinity 0 -0, 4%. The results showed that, Aedes sp mosquito larva is very much found in the home with temperature, pH, and salinity that tend to be stable and away from sun exposure. This causes Aedes sp mosquito larva to be found in the type of water shelter that exists in the house such as bathtubs, buckets, and crock. In order to be able to miss the place of the mosquito larva Aedes sp in the house should the community should participate in the activities of mosquito eradication (PSN) diligently drain, give abate and close the landfill that is in the house such as bucket and crock.
