Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of the length of roads, labor force, Human Development Index (HDI), and growth as a independent variable on investment in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta Province as a dependent variable. This study uses panel data regression analysis technique, which is a combination of cross section data (five districts/cities in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY) Province) and time series data for ten years (2009-2018). The data is secondary data from the DIY Central Statistical Agency and other relevant agencies. Based on the result of the Chow test and the Hausman test the best model chosen was the Fixed Effect Model (FEM). Based on the result of the validity test at the significance level (α) of 0.10 the length of roads and HDI variable did not affect investment in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta Province, but labor force and growth variable had a positive and significant effect on investment in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta Province in 2009-2018.
