Abstract

This study aims to discuss the effect of profitability, liquidity, and leverage on financial distress in state-owned companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the 2014-2018 period. This study used a purposive sampling method that obtained a sample of 15 companies and the data used in this study were secondary data. This study uses descriptive statistics and logistic regression analysis using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) program 20.00. The results of this study indicate that the profitability proxied by return on assets has a significant positive effect on financial distress, while the liquidity proxied by the current ratio and leverage proxied by the debt to equity ratio has no significant effect on financial distress. Profitability, liquidity and leverage ratios have a simultaneous effect on financial distress.
