Abstract
This study aimed to analyze the effect of return on assets (ROA), debt to equity ratio (DER), current ratio (CR), earnings per share (EPS), and net profit margin (NPM) on stock returns. Population of this study were all Basic Industry and Chemicals companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) in the 2016-2018. Samples in this study consist of 30 companies that have been selected by purposive sampling method. The analytical method used multiple linear regression. The result showed that only earnings per share (EPS) have an effect on stock returns, while return on assets (ROA), debt to equity ratio (DER), current ratio (CR), and net profit margin (NPM) have no effect on stock returns.
