Abstract

The rules of giving punishment points as a form of punishment to students who violate school rules have been imposed on schools as a substitute tool for giving physical punishment to students. However, we still often encounter students who still break the rules and get penalty points that amount up to the maximum limit. Seeing these conditions, what is the perception of penalty points on students who violate the rules of the school? The purpose of this study was to determine perceptions of penalty points on students who violated school rules and received penalty points repeatedly. This study used four subjects with the criteria that they had received the first warning letter. Data collection uses semi-structured interview techniques. The results showed that students' perceptions vary and affect the sustainability of behavior that violates rules by students.
