Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe implementation of writing learning, writing learning outcomes, and obstacles faced by teachers in writing learning of class X semester 1 students of SMA Negeri 2 Boyolali in the 2015/2016 academic year. This type of research is a qualitative research with a case study design. Data collection techniques are done by in-depth interview, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques using an interactive model of analysis. The results of the study concluded that: 1) The learning objectives of writing in competency standard (SK) 4 consisting of basic competencies (KD) 4.1, 4.2, and 4.3 have been achieved by teachers in class X well. Writing learning material written in the Lesson Plan (RPP), namely narrative, descriptive, and expository paragraphs. Writing learning methods that have been applied are lecture, question and answer, discussion, presentation, and assignment methods. The teacher uses an Indonesian textbook for high school and Madrasah Aliyah grade X and a textbook written by Gorys Keraf and a Student Worksheet. Learning media such as blackboards, LCD projectors, and power points. The steps of writing learning include initial activities, core activities, and closing activities. 2) Writing Learning Outcomes Class X is done through writing learning assessment. The evaluation technique used by the grade X Indonesian teacher is an individual assignment evaluation technique. In accordance with the results of evaluations that have been carried out, the values obtained by students all achieve completeness and do not need to be held remedial. 3) Barriers faced by teachers in learning to write to class X students of Semester 1 of SMA Negeri 2 Boyolali in the 2015/2015 Academic Year include: the lack of learning resources used by teachers, limited time for learning, and limited learning media.
