Abstract

Major problem of this study is misbehavior. When a child doesn't get what they want, they can do anything to get it, such as seeking attention or seeking revenge. Research uses objects or primary source from the John Green novel entitled Paper Towns (2008). The research uses behaviorist theory from B. F. Skinner and misbehavior from F. Yeaman to analyze it. The data used to analyze this research are Primary source and secondary source. For secondary sources, researcher look for information related to research from various sources, such as; internet and books. The researcher also used qualitative descriptive as a method to collect data. This research concludes. The problem faced by the main female character in the John Green Paper Towns novel, Margo Roth Spiegelman. Misbehavior itself has external factors. These factors include family, friends, and the environment. To achieve her desire, Margo seeks attention and seeks revenge to reach his goal. There are also reasons why girl living in Orlando, Florida have different behaviors from others; an adventure and mystery, Orlando as a paper town, parents who treat him badly, promiscuity, independent and, unmet needs.
