Abstract

Electricity has become an important part of human survival. Electricity can help people in a variety of ways, from small things to the biggest things. Without electricity, some human work will be slightly hampered. The role of PLN for human life in Indonesia is very large so that PLN must be able to provide good services to Indonesian citizens, one of which is to continue to provide electricity to all state electricity users, therefore PLN must estimate and anticipate electrical energy needs for at least 5 years in the future so that PLN can continue to be able to serve the needs of electricity in Indonesia today and future needs. In estimating this electricity demand, LEAP (Long Energy Alternative Planning) software is used to produce more accurate data using the method used, namely the DKL 3.2 (List of Electricity Needs) and BAU (Base As Usual) scenarios. From the estimation results using LEAP Software, the projected average total number of customers, electricity consumption needs, and connected power of PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 Surakarta uses the DKL 3.2 scenario which is 6.75%, 11.42%, and 11.12%, while when using the BAU scenario it is 4.05%, 7.09%, and 6.86 %
