Abstract

The research aims to find: (1) The effect of student participation in the organization on the effectiveness of the Organization of Accounting Education Study Program Students of FKIP Muhammadiyah University, Surakarta. (2) the ability of communication to the effectiveness of the organization of Accounting Education Student Study Program FKIP University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta. (3) The effect of student participation in the organization and communication skills on the effectiveness of the Student Association of the Accounting Education Study Program FKIP University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta. The type of this research is quantitative using the design correlational survey. The sample of this a member of the Accounting Education Study Program Student Association (HMP) FKIP Muhammadiyah University, Surakarta, 101 total off 78 members were taken as sampling. The technique of collecting data from this research using questionnaire and documentation. The technique of analyzing data uses multiple regression analysis t-test, F-test, coefficient of determination (R2), Relative contribution (SR) dan and effective contribution (SE). Based on teh result of data analysis multiple regression equation shows Y = 20,623 + 0,225 X1 + 0,312 X2. The equation shows that the Organizational effectiveness is influenced by student participation in organization and communication skills. The result can be taken is. (1) the participation of students in the organization influences the effectiveness of the organization, the proven with t-test value known that titung>ttable it’s 3,007 > 1,992 and the probability value is 0,004 < 0,05. (2) communication skills affect organizational effectiveness the proven with t-test value known that nilai titung>ttable it’s 2,897 > 1,992 992 and the probability value is 0,005 < 0,05, (3) student participation in the organization and communication skills affect the effectiveness of the organization, the proven with test-F value know that Fitung>Ftable it’s 9,134 > 3,12 and the probability value is 0,000 < 0,05, (4) variable variable student participation in organizations give SR of 42% dan give SE of 8,23%. variable communication skills give SR 58% dan give SE of 11,37%. The R2 equed to 0,196 or equal 19,6%, while 80,4% other is effected by other variables.
