Abstract

Population density is very influential on the quality of life of the community, because the high population density will cause many problems related to population problems such as poverty, housing, employment and others. The discussion on quality of life is not easy, there is no definition or definition of quality of life that is generally agreed upon, this is caused by there being objective indicators (Education, Health and Work) and subjective indicators (Relative) of quality of life. Areas with a densely populated environment will often cause social problems such as poverty, low levels of education and other problems of social jealousy. This study aims to assess and analyze the level of quality of life of Ngemplak District people in 2013 and 2017. As well as to determine the impact or influence of population density on the quality of life of Ngemplak District people in 2013 and 2017. This study uses secondary data from relevant agencies namely the Central Statistics Agency ( BPS) and others. The data is then analyzed with quantitative descriptive analysis using SPSS program linear regression analysis. The results showed that Ngemplak District in 2013 and 2017 had a moderate quality of life. The overall population density in Ngemplak District is high in population density. Through Pearson correlation analysis, it is known that the population density of an area has a strong relationship and influence on the quality of life, namely with a correlation value of 0.801 and 0.69.
