Abstract

This research aims to: (1) describe the structure of the constructor of the novel Perempuan Bersampur Merah by Intan Andaru, (2) describe the social values in the novel Perempuan Bersampur Merah by Intan Andaru, (3) describe the relevance of the social values contained in the novel Perempuan Bersampur Merah by Intan Andaru with Indonesian teaching materials in high school. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. This research data is in the form of sentences and paragraphs in the novel Perempuan Bersampur Merah by Intan Andaru. The data source of this research is the novel Perempuan Bersampur Merah by Intan Andaru. Data collection techniques used are library techniques. Data analysis using dialectical method. The data validity technique uses methodological triangulation. The results of this study are: (1) the structure of the building of the novel Perempuan Bersampur Merah by Intan Andaru covers the theme of a girl's struggle to unravel the riddle of her father's murder in the 1998 Banyuwangi tragedy, the plot is mixed, the general setting in Banyuwangi, the setting is between 1994-2012, the social setting describes the social setting in the village in Banyuwangi; (2) social values contained include the value of affection, the value of responsibility, and the value of harmony in life; (3) social values contained in the novel Perempuan Bersampur Merah by Intan Andaru are relevant to Indonesian language teaching materials in class XI high school in 2013 Curriculum in accordance with BC 3.11 Analyze messages from a fiction book that is read and 4.11 Compile a review of messages from one fiction books that are read.
