Abstract
Track shoe is part of one of the undercarriages on the crawler tractor that serves to cause traction and ease in maneuvering on the crawler tractor. The purpose of this research is to find out the classification of the track shoe, how to measure the level of wear of the track shoe and the cause of damage to the track shoe. In research on the track shoe is examined on its components such as shoes, links, bushings and pins. In this examination using measuring devices such as the ruler, vernier caliper, external caliper and ultrasonic tool. Checks are carried out periodically to find out which parts have reached the usage limit so they must be replaced with new components or not. To overcome or minimize damage, care must be taken after the crawler tractor is used by cleaning the ground or gravel on the undercarriage.
