Abstract

Janatuzuroh Uslifah/A320150211. Living In Diversity Reflected In Out Of My Mind Novel By Sharon M Draper: A Psychoanalytic Study Analysis. Research Paper. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. October. 2019 The purpose of this research is to know how a person lives her life in a diversity which she has disability in Out of My Mind novel. This research explains about the main character’s psychological condition, to know the main character’s condition in a diversity, last but not least to know how she live her life which reflected in Out of My Mind novel. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The researcher uses a psychoanalytic approach to analyze the data in the novel. The primary data source for this research is Out of My Mind (2010) novel by Sharon M Draper. The secondary data sources are another data information or reference which related to the research. The results of this study are as follows (1) The psychological condition of Melody Brooks from psychoanalytic theory is more into the Ego, (2) Melody Brooks’s condition on diversity is diversity physical ability, (3) The social model has important role for Melody Brooks to help her living her life.
