Abstract

In this current era of tourism, most people are used to relieve fatigue or just recreation, besides tourism itself can also improve the local economy. The Tepus community, Gunungkidul, utilizes the potential of Nglambor beach tourism to be a place of tourism. However, in the management of Nglambor beach, the local people of Tikak have sufficient funds to carry out these tourism promotions. So to do their own promotion to rely only on social media, social media used here is Instagram. Problem formulation in this research is How is Tourism Communication on Nglambor Beach through an Instagram account? The theory used is tourism communication theory and Strategic Social media. The method used is descriptive qualitative by using purposive sampling. The data validity technique uses source triangulation. Data analysis techniques using the model of Miles and Huberman. The results obtained from this study the use of social media Instagram with all its features have a very effective function in developing information in an innovative way so that it attracts other people to come and participate in tourism activities on Nglambor beach.
