Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of motivation, perceptions of educational costs, and length of education on student interest in participating in the Accounting Professional Education (PPAk) program. The population in this study are students of accounting at Muhammadiyah University, Surakarta. The sample in this study was the 2016 batch of accounting students at the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. The analysis method in this study uses multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study show that motivation has an impact on student interest in taking the Accounting Professional Education Program (PPAk) with a significance value of 0,000 <0.05, learning achievement has an effect on student interest in taking the Accounting Professional Education Program (PPAk) with a significance value of 0,000 <0.05, while the length of education does not affect the interest of students in participating in the Accounting Professional Education Program (PPAk) with a significance value of 0.074> 0.05.
