Abstract

ABSTRACT SOCIO-ECONOMIC CONDITION OF TRADERS AND RANGE OF NONGKO MARKET SERVICES IN BANJARSARI DISTRICT, SURAKARTA CITY Nongko Market is a traditional market that is located quite strategically where is close to public facilities such as the Tirtonadi terminal and Balapan station. The market absorbs many workers who come from within the city and from outside the city. This makes traditional markets have an influence on the socio-economic conditions of traders. The range of market services is the distance that consumers travel to where to get services and facilities to the extent that the market provides services both in terms of commodities, origin of traders, and nasal buyers. This study aims to determine the socio-economic conditions of traders in the Nongko Market and determine the range of services of the Nongko Market. The method used was a sample by giving questionnaires / questionnaires and interviewing traders in the Nongko Market. This sampling method uses proportional random sampling method. Data analysis method used is quantitative descriptive data analysis. Most traders in Nongko Market are aged 50-59 years with a percentage of 43%. As many as 88% of traders in Nongko Market are female. Most of the traders in Nongko Market are junior high school graduates with a percentage of 40%. All traders in Nongko Market are married. All traders in Nongko Market earn a living as traders. Most of the ownership status of merchant trading businesses in Nongko Market are owners with a percentage of 97%. Most traders in Nongko Market have been trading for more than 10 years with a percentage of 88%. Most traders in Nongko Market rarely interact with traders with a percentage of 79%. Most of the traders did not participate in social activities in Nongko Market with a percentage of 76%. Traders who take part in social activities often attend social activities with a percentage of 50%, only 18% of traders have a number of family members who are still studying and the obstacle is the distance between school and home. Most of the traders sell at los with a percentage of 67%. All traders get capital from their own capital. Most traders trade time is around 8-10 hours / day with a percentage of 48%. The development of the trading business in the Nongko Market was largely constant (stagnant) with a percentage of 85%. The average monthly income of traders in the Nongko Market is Rp21,613,636.00. The average consumption of traders during the month spent Rp1,943,182.00. Most of the merchant's residence status is self-owned with a percentage of 94%. Most of the traders came from within the city with a percentage of 64% and the most distant traders came from the Ampel District of Boyolali Regency. Most of the buyers at Nongko Market are from Mangkubumen village with a percentage of 45% and the most distant buyers are from Jeyengan. Most of the scale of commodity commodities in Nongko Market is the scale of the region and the farthest commodities come from Tawangmangu District.
